Tamil filmmaker Venkat Prabhu, who is fresh off the success of his Maanaadu starring Silambarasan TR, is all set to present his next film, titled Manmatha Leelai. Jointly produced by Rockfort Entertainment and Black Ticket Company banners, the upcoming film has also been made in Telugu under the title Manmadaleela and stars Oh My Kadavule hero Ashok Selvan in the lead role, with Puppy heroine Samyukta Hegde, Mookuthi Amman actress Smruthi Venkat, and Seeru fame Riya Suman cast as the female leads. Currently, in its post-production stages, the makers on Saturday dropped a new big announcement informing fans that Manmatha Leelai will be releasing in theatres on April 1 (April Fool’s Day). 

Manmatha Leelai, which is being billed to be a fun adult comedy, has fans mighty excited, especially after a spicy glimpse was released a few days back, featuring Ashok Selvan, Samyukta Hegde, Smruthi Venkat, and Riya Suman. Likewise, the film is Venkat Prabhu's next after his blockbuster Maanaadu and all sights are on what he has cooked up in the upcoming film, which had completed filming in quick time. He will be looking to hit the bullseye once again with Manmatha Leelai after his writing and direction in Maanaadu received rave reviews from fans and critics alike. The release date announcement for Manmatha Leelai has also come with a new poster, with the makers also teasing fans by asking them if they're ready for more LeeLIEs. 

Venkat Prabhu, who is best known for his multi-starrers like Chennai 600028 films, Saroja and Goa, while also tasting massive box office success in his collaboration with Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar in Mankatha, will want to ace it once again with his Manmatha Leelai, which has been described to be a "fun quirky ride". The film includes music by Premgi Amaren, while the technical team has names like cinematographer Thamizh A Azhagan, editor Venkat Raajen, art direction Umesh J Kumar and action choreography Stunt Silva.
