There’s a whole bunch of them making their debuts in medium budget movies and they all have truly confident�attitudes to match their�shapes and�looks. Each one of them wants to make it to the top and they have the necesaary talents and looks.�Model Priya, who plays the lead in Vamanan [Tamil],�now�hopes to be the model silver screen siren! She is ready to race to the top!
“While I was modelling, I was approached by many directors, but I wasn’t sure if I liked the scripts. Then one day, I had gone to meet an ad director and bumped into cinematographer Arvind Krishna. Two days later, I got a call from director Ahmed. The next day, I met him and had a photo session for the movie. The same night, I got a call from Ahmed saying I had been chosen for Vamanan,” says the visibly excited Priya, who plays the love interest of Jai in the movie. But Vamanan is not her first movie. Surprised? “I started my film career with Pugaipadam, directed by Rajesh. The movie, which is my debut film, is based on a real-life incident,” she explains!
And Vamanan is most certainly not her last! She already has another movie in hand. “I’m also doing an untitled venture with director Shekar Kammula in Telugu.” She’s already playing her cards right and making swift moves.�
