Director Radha Mohan who is known for his family entertainers, is back in action with Uppu Karuvadu. Like his previous ventures, this one is also said to be a female oriented film. At the same time, unlike his other projects, this film has an extra dose of humour elements and is said to be an out-and-out comedy entertainer. The film featuring Nandita and Karunakaran in the lead, also has Mayilsamy, Kumaravel, Narayanan, MS Baskar, Saravanan, Doubt Senthil and many others.

It must be noted that the teaser of the film was launched by the director's Mozhi Heroine, Jyothika. Uppu Karuvadu is produced by First Copy Pictures and Night Show Cinema. As per latest reports, Escape Artists Motion Pictures have acquired the theatrical rights of the film. However, the film's release date is yet to be announced.
