It is always disheartening to see anyone pass away but it is even worse when that individual happens to be someone young. After just getting started and spending his early years in the limelight, 18-year-old Tyler Sanders has unfortunately passed away. He was nominated for the prestigious Primetime Emmy Awards for his work on the Amazon Prime Video series Just Add Magic: Mystery City.
Known for appearances on 9-1-1: Lone Star, The Rookie, and Just Add Magic: Mystery City, Sanders was found unresponsive in his Los Angeles home on Thursday (16 June 2022). He was declared dead at that time, and authorities did not suspect foul play. A representative for Sanders said an investigation into his sudden death is currently ongoing.
Sanders started acting at the adolescent age of just 10. His earliest television credit is in 2015 in the sitcom JLW Academy and went on to appear in a number of shorts before landing a guest role in 2017 as the young version of main character Sam Underwood in an episode on the high-profile TV show, Fear the Walking Dead. His other guest spots on television include an episode of 2018's The Rookie and an episode of 9-1-1: Lone Star that aired on April 18, his final credit before his untimely demise.
Outside of the world of television, Sanders also appeared in the 2019 movie The Reliant with Kevin Sorbo who is famous for playing the iconic role of Hercules. Before he died, Sanders also completed a role in the Ryuhei Kitamura's feature film The Price We Play starring Stephen Dorff.
Tyler Sanders had an active social media presence with his Instagram account, with his most recent post going live on his account five days before news of his death. He shared a BTS picture of his final guest star role, featuring him along with Lone Star stars Rob Lowe, Gina Torres, and more, while also promoting that the episode can be watched on Hulu.
