Leading actor Dhanush is currently working on his next big film, the bilingual titled Vaathi in Tamil and Sir in Telugu, under Venky Atluri’s direction, who is best known for his ventures like Tholi Prema and the Keerthy Suresh and Nithiin-starrer Rang De. Being produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya's Sithara Entertainments in association with Fortune Four Cinemas, a major chunk of filming has already been wrapped, with the team releasing a special new poster on Tuesday on the occasion of Dhanush completing two decades in the film industry. The new Vaathi poster carries a look of Dhanush from the film with his back facing the viewers alongside another picture of the actor from his debut in 2002 in Thulluvadho Ilamai, with the team also announcing that the first look will be out soon. Being presented by PDV Prasad, Vaathi / Sir is Dhanush's first-ever bilingual venture and will also feature actor Ken Karunas in a crucial role after he played the two-time National Award winner's son in the 2019 blockbuster Asuran. Furthermore, the film also features music by G. V. Prakash Kumar, who is collaborating with Dhanush once again after they worked together in Polladhavan, Aadukalam, Mayakkam Enna, and Asuran, including Maaran most recently. Vaathi / Sir will see Dhanush paired with Malayalam sensation Samyuktha Menon, who made a successful debut in Telugu recently in the Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati-starrer Bheemla Nayak.
Earlier in the day, Dhanush expressed his heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their wishes for completing two decades as a successful artist in the entertainment industry. Sharing a note, the multi-talented star wrote,
"Hello everybody

I would also like to thank the cinema lovers all around the globe for showering me with their unconditional love
My sincere thanks to press, media, tv channels and social media influencers for all the support.
I thank all the directors and producers I worked with today. I'd also like to thank all the technicians who worked behind the camera and my wonderful co actors.
I thank my brother & Guru Selvaraghavan. You all know why! I thank my father Kasthoori Raja , for he's the one who identified the actor in me.
Finally I thank my mother, it's her everyday prayers that has protected me and brought me this far. Without her I'm nothing.
