Leading South Indian actress Trisha Krishnan's long-awaited film, Raangi, is all set for a grand release, blockbuster production Lyca Productions has announced. Directed by M Saravanan of Engeyum Eppodhum fame and based on a story written by filmmaker A. R. Murugadoss, the upcoming action thriller will open in cinemas worldwide on December 30, 2022. Lyca Productions has released an action-packed promo for the release of Raangi, which shows Trisha coming out all guns blazing and taking on several baddies in Uzbekistan, where a major chunk of filming had taken place.
Raangi first began filming in 2019 and this latest announcement from Lyca Productions will no doubt come as a big delight for Trisha's fans everywhere. The blockbuster production-distribution banner has had a fantastic 2022 with their ventures that also include the magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan: 1, which saw Trisha portray 'Ilaiya Piratti' Kundavai Devi. Raangi generated massive excitement at the time it went on floors and we can expect Lyca Productions to push forward with the promotions in the days ahead, which will also include the release of a trailer since the film's release date has now been officially announced.
The Raangi release date announcement promo teaser packs in quite a punch showing Trisha delivering the knockouts and we can expect the film to be high on the action as well as drama and sentiment. A. R. Murugadoss too will be looking to see how the audience responds to his latest effort and fans will no doubt be hoping for him to come up good with yet another riveting story. Filmmaker Saravanan, whose Engeyum Eppodhum continues to be talked about to this date, also will aim to hit the high note once again with Raangi, which also includes music by C. Sathya, cinematography by KA Shakthivel, editing by M Subarak, art direction by M Subarak, followed by stunts by Raja Sekar, and lyrics penned by Kabilan.
