Actress Trisha is riding the high wave these days after being announced to be part ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam's upcoming magnum opus, Ponniyin Selvan, which recently wrapped up its month-long first schedule in Thailand. One of the few actresses who has had a succesful career at the top of the league for two decades, Trisha's upcoming Tamil films include Paramapadham Vilayattu, Raangi, Garjanai, the speculatively titled Sugar alongside Simran, the ongoing Ponniyin Selvan, Chiranjeevi's Chiru 152 in Telugu and Ram opposite Mohanlal in Malayalam. Among them, Trisha's Paramapadham Vilayattu, in which she plays the role of a doctor, has finally been announced for a theatrical release on January 31, 2020.

Directed by K. Thirugnanam, Paramapadham Vilayattu had an intense and action-packed trailer released in May last year and created quite a lot of curiosity among fans especially after it was revealed to be the next in line for Trisha after starring in blockbusters like 96 and Petta.

An action thriller, Paramapatham Vilaiyattu is Trisha’s 60th film in her glorious career and also stars Nandha, Richard, AL Azhagappan, Vela Ramamoorthy, Chaams, Sona and others with music composed by Amrish Ganesh, cinematography by J. Dinesh and editing by Pradeep E. Raghav under the 24 Hrs Productions banner .
