As the film is set around the Chola empire, she plays the role of a princess of a Chola empire named Kundhavai. The first part of the film Ponniyin Selvan: 1 was released last year and was a blockbuster hit. Her upcoming project is the 'Thalapathy' Vijay starrer Leo.

Ponniyin Selvan: 2 cast including Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Vikram, Sobhita Dhulipala, Aishwarya Lekshmi and Trisha were in Kochi promoting the film in a public event. When Trisha was on stage, the crowd started chanting asking for updates about the anticipated film, Leo. The anchor also asked the actress to reveal something about the film, saying everyone is a fan of 'Thalapathy' Vijay. Trish said “I had already said this a few days ago at an event, I can’t say too much right now. But, I know that you are all big fans of Lokesh and Vijay and Leo is something you guys are gonna love. I will talk more about it in time. The film is only releasing in October so, there is more time to talk about it, but, the shooting is going on well and you guys are gonna love the film”.
Leo is a most anticipated film, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, with 'Thalapathy' Vijay in the lead role. It has a huge cast and a schedule filming was wrapped in Kashmir last month.
