Bollywood director Sriram Raghavan's Andhadhun was a blockbuster hit film that released last year. The film also managed to satisfy the critics and got rave reviews for its intriguing premise, engaging screenplay and brilliant performances. Andhadhun made it to the headlines recently when it bagged three National Film Awards for the categories, Best Actor (Ayushmann Khurrana), Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Hindi Film. Following that, it has now been officially announced that the film will be remade in Tamil.

Actors Dhanush, Siddharth and producer Boney Kapoor expressed their interest in doing this film's Tamil remake, but fortune has favoured someone else. Yes, veteran filmmaker and producer Thiagarajan has bagged the Tamil remake rights of this Ayushmann Khurrana starrer. His son and actor Prashanth will reprise the role played by Ayushmann, while other details are yet to be known. The production house is said to be in discussion to finalize the director, technicians, and other talents.
