Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami has sanctioned Rs 5 Lakh as relief fund to the family of the 15-year-old girl Jayashree who passed away on Monday (11.05.2020) after reportedly set on fire by two men over a property dispute on Sunday (10.05.2020). Notably, Jayshree died while undergoing treatment in Villupuram Government Medical College and Hospital. Villupuram police, based on the victim's last statement, have arrested two AIADMK members G Murugan and K Kaliyaperumal in connection with the murder.

Edappadi K Palaniswami tweeted that he is deeply saddened by the incident and conveyed his condolences to the family members of Jayashree. The CM also condemned the actions of the two accused and promised immediate action. Check out his tweet below,
