Tibetan Film Festival
The Alliance Française in collaboration with the University of Madras, the Tibetan Students Association, Arangham Trust, and Murugappa Chettiar Trust will hold Tibetan Cultural Weekend (on 4th, 5th, and 6th of July 2008) to celebrate His Holiness Dalai Lama’s 73rd birthday.
During this weekend, films and documentaries that showcase Tibetan culture will be screened, including films like Seven Years in Tibet and Martin Scorsese’s Kundun.
Schedule: Himalaya on July 4, 2008 at 6:30 p.m.; Buddhism on July 5, 2008 at 6:30 p.m.; Seven Years in Tibet on July 5, 2008 at 7:30 p.m.; Kundun on July 6, 2008 at 7:30 p.m.
