Veteran actress Radha's younger daughter Thulasi, who is making her debut with Mani Ratnam's upcoming film Kadal, is just 15 year told. She is studying in standard X and is preparing for her board exams. She reveals being very studious and was surprised when her mom told her that Mani Ratnam wants to meet her. Since her mom and sister Karthika were already into movies, she thought of trying it out too. But her strict parents made her promise that she will find time to study too. Abiding by the promise made, she used to take tutions over skype after shooting.

Thulasi, who has watched all her mom's film as a child, re-watched all of it to prepare herself to step into acting and loved the chemistry her mom n Karthik shared in their debut film Alaigal Oyvathillai. Her mom and sister only advised her to be brave in front of the camera and stepped back as she was under the care of Mani Ratnam.

Though Thulasi has chosen to be an actress, education still remains her priority. She believes that nothing can replace education and wishes to be an entrepreneur like her dad. She thinks she has is in her to be a businesswoman. She further added that she is a huge fan of Vijay and Suriya.
