The wait is over. Marvel Studios released the first official teaser of Thor: Love and Thunder online on Monday (April 18). This will be Chris Hemsworth's Thor's first solo story after the events of Avengers: Endgame. The teaser featured Thor embarking upon a self-exploring journey with some shots of Star-Lord and the Guardians of the Galaxy and also the first full look at Natalie Portman's Jane Foster as the Mighty Thor. It is evident that there is certainly a lot to look forward to with Marvel Cinematic Universe's (MCU) second movie of 2022, the fourth Thor movie, and the 29th movie of the MCU.
The much-awaited movie from Marvel Studios is all set to hit the theatres in a few months. The film is scheduled to release on 8 July 2022 and its makers are fueling the fans' excitement by dropping this teaser. While fans welcomed the film's teaser with an open heart, they have also managed to make it the fourth-most viewed trailer in 24 hours.
Marvel Studios took to their official Twitter handle to announce this amazing feat that they achieved with the help of the god of thunder. Sharing a GIF of the Norse God using battle ropes, battle chains in this case, from the teaser, they wrote, "World's strongest Avenger with the world's best fans! The film's teaser has reached over 209 million views in just 24 hours. The first three positions are also conquered by Marvel films, namely Spider-Man: No Way Home, Avengers: Endgame, and Avengers: Infinity War. Spider-Man: No Way Home is the current record holder for the highest views on a trailer in 24 hours. The film's trailer was released in August 2021 and garnered over 355.5 million views on Day 1. This number surpassed the previous record-holder, Avengers: Endgame, which got over 289 million views over the course of 24 hours, and the third one is Avengers: Infinity War, whose trailer gathered over 230 million views.
