Ten years ago when director Susiganesan came out with Thiruttu Payale, the movie explored the shady territory of adultery. After attempting at breaking into Bollywood, Susiganesan has now returned to Tamil cinema with Thiruttu Payale 2. While the trailer gives us the impression that this one is also about adultery, the director insists there is so much more. He says the movie is a reflection on how individual moralities and social moralities have changed now that social media has broken down the walls of privacy and personal space. In the wake of protests over prying reality TV such as Bigg Boss, this movie seems to be Susiganesan's take on who is more in the wrong: the creators of such content or the audience that watches it. Thiruttu Payale stars Bobby Simha, Prasanna and Amala Paul, and is produced by AGS Entertainment.
