American actress Joey King, known for starring in Netflix's The Kissing Booth film trilogy, has announced her engagement to her longtime partner Steven Piet. The 22-year-old star, who has been dating the popular producer, 30, for more than two years, dropped the big news on Tuesday, March 1, along with a series of photos featuring themselves sharing an intimate moment. Posting the pictures on social media, King wrote in the caption: "I never knew happiness could be so powerful that it can take the air from your lungs, overwhelming every part of you that you can’t help but feel your eyes well from the undeniable joy." 

King added, "I never knew that a person's presence and heart could feel like a real home. I never knew love could be so unquestionably beautiful. I never knew until you. The date was 2/2/22 when you asked me to marry you and made me the luckiest lady alive. I love you more than an Instagram caption could ever do justice. According to a report on US Weekly, Joey King and Steven Piet met on the set of the Hulu drama, The Act, in which the actress played the role of Gypsy Rose Blanchard. Piet served as a producer on the show, with King earning Golden Globes, Screen Actors Guild, and Emmy Award nominations for her performance upon its premiere in 2019. Prior to her relationship with Piet, King had dated her Kissing Booth co-star Jacob Elordi from 2017 to 2019.
