'Thalapathy' Vijay's The Greatest of All Time is progressing at a steady pace and is gearing up for a grand worldwide theatrical release this year. Billed to be a high-octane science-fiction action drama, the upcoming film being directed by blockbuster Tamil filmmaker Venkat Prabhu and featuring songs and a background score composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja will showcase Vijay in dual roles alongside a huge ensemble star cast. With production on The Greatest of All Time expected to be wrapped up this month, Venkat Prabhu addressed the media on Saturday, March 16, during the Tamil Nadu Film Directors Association (TANTIS) elections and opened up on the film's next big update, while also sharing his thoughts on why filmmakers and production studios are choosing English titles of late.
Speaking about when the next The Greatest of All Time update will be out, Venkat Prabhu said, "The shooting is going on. The update should come soon and the works regarding it are going on. I think it will definitely be out in one week." Addressing the choice of English titles for Tamil films in recent times, VP said, "When big films are made and being released in all languages, it will be easier if there is a single title. They went with the title of KGF instead of Kolar Thanga Surangam because they wanted the film to reach the people across languages." Upon being queried whether there will be any political theme in The Greatest of All Time, Venkat Prabhu stated, "You watch the film and get to know about it. I won't say anything now."
'Thalapathy' Vijay's fans have been eagerly waiting for the next big The Greatest of All Time update for a while and the debate is now on whether it will be the first single release plans. There is tremendous buzz surrounding the film considering it will see Vijay sharing screen space several notable Tamil cinema names starting with Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Jayaram, Ajmal Amir, Laila, Sneha, Mohan, Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, Premgi Amaren, Vaibhav, Aravind Akash, and Ajay Raaj, among others who have been cast in key roles. Vijay is paired with Meenakshi Chaudhary of Kolai (2023) fame in The Greatest of All Time, while his co-star in films Ghilli (2004), Thirupaachi (2005), Aathi (2006), Kuruvi (2008), and Leo (2023) is also set to make an appearance.
