The Ghost is an upcoming Telugu action film written and directed by Praveen Sattaru, edited by Dharmendra Kakarala, and backed up by Suniel Narang, Puskur Ram Mohan Rao, and Sharrath Marar under the banners of their production houses Sri Venkateswara cinemas LLP & North star entertainment respectively. The film boasts a stellar cast that features the likes of Nagarjuna Akkineni in the titular role with Sonal Chauhan, Gul Panag, Anikha Surendran, Manish Chaudhari, Ravi Varma and Shrikanth Iyyangar as a part of the supporting cast. According to the producers, The Ghost is scheduled to release theatrically in time for Dussehra on 5 October 2022.

The makers of the film recently dropped an extremely wicked and cool first teaser of The Ghost. Titled 'Killing Machine', the 50 seconds clip shows the character of Nagarjuna from behind facing off against 6 unknown people. They engage in a swordfight that seems to be going one way - Nagarjuna's way. He slices through all of them like butter as if he were a real samurai with ease. Towards the end, once they all drop dead, the camera comes around to the front showing the blood moon and depicting the ferocious and intense appearance of Nagarjuna's face exhibiting his wrath.

On the work front, prior to this film, Nagarjuna will be seen in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra Part One: Shiva which releases in theatres on 9 September 2022. The pan-Indian film also stars newly wed couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead with Amitabh Bachchan, and Mouni Roy among others in supporting roles. During an interview, Nagarjuna spoke about his character in the upcoming film and said, “I am playing a powerful character in Brahmastra. We recently completed the filming for the first part. The duration of my character in the movie will be around half an hour.”
