Godfather is an upcoming Telugu political action film written and directed by Mohan Raja. Produced by Ram Charan, R. B. Choudary, and N. V. Prasad under the banners of Konidela Production Company and Super Good Films, it is a remake of the 2019 Malayalam film Lucifer. The film stars Chiranjeevi alongside Salman Khan (in his Telugu film debut), Lady Superstar Nayanthara, Puri Jagannadh and Satyadev Kancharana. Godfather is planned to release in cinemas on 5 October 2022, coinciding with the festival of Vijayadashami.
A new update regarding the film has popped up. We know that the film's score and soundtrack album is being composed by Thaman S. The newest development regarding the project is that he will be collaborating with singing sensation Shreya Ghoshal once again to churn out the first single of the song which is apparently coming soon.
Thaman S. took to his official Twitter handle to announce this grand news. Meanwhile, on the work front, Thaman S is packed with a busy schedule with a couple more movie under his belt. He has been reeled in to work on the Sivakarthikeyan starrer Prince, Thalapathy Vijay's Varisu which is all set to release next year during the occasion of Pongal, Ram Charan's 15th film tentatively titled RC15 which will be directed by Shankar Shanmugam with Kiara Advani playing the female lead and finally Super Star Mahesh Babu's 28th film which has been tentatively titled SSMB28. We cannot wait for his music for these high profile projects, yet alone the films themselves.
