'Thalapathy' Vijay's family entertainer film Varisu has been announced for a grand Pongal 2023 release in theatres and is being directed by Vamshi Paidipally of Maharshi and Thozha fame. Currently being shot in Hyderabad, the upcoming film will star Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead and features music by chart-buster South Indian composer Thaman. S, both of whom are collaborating with the Tamil superstar for the first time. With production said to be nearing the finish line soon, there is a huge buzz now about the Varisu first single and the plans to release it this Diwali after Thaman dropped a hint on his social media space.
Thaman, on Friday, September 9, took to Twitter, and posted a cryptic tweet with the word 'Diwali' alone along with an emoji of an explosion, which many are speculating is referring to the Varisu first single release. Although there has been no direct official word yet, several people in the industry and film trade have stated that there are plans to release the first song from the Vijay-starrer on Diwali day. Production on Varisu is nearing its final stages and Thaman had also visited the film's shooting recently when a schedule was shot at Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh. Expectations for the composer to deliver a chart-buster album once again are high considering he's been the most sought-after music director in recent years. He has also assured Vijay fans everywhere since the beginning that they have plenty of happy times up ahead with the Varisu songs. Check out Thaman’s tweet below:
