'Thalapathy' Vijay's Varisu (2023) directed by blockbuster Telugu filmmaker Vamshi Paidipally and featuring songs and a background score composed by Thaman. S continues to find love a year after its theatrical release. The family action drama film released in cinemas as a grand Pongal treat last year went on to become a major commercial success at the worldwide box office grossing more than 300 crores and once again affirming the tremendous love audiences share for Vijay. With Leo (2023) also releasing last year and turning out to be a raging money-spinner, the Tamil superstar's Varisu has now hit a new high a year after its release as the film's album has now crossed a billion views on YouTube.
Announcing the good news, the music director of Varisu, Thaman posted a clip from the chart-topping hit song 'Thee Thalapathy' sung by Silambarasan TR. He wrote on his post in X, "Can Never Get off this HIGH !! #theethalapthy 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥#VarisuAlbimHits1billion🧨💿💣" (sic) The hit composer also shared a special poster announcing the latest achievement and wrote, "ONE BILLION ALBUM #VARISU 🔥🏆For Our #Thalapathy dearest @actorvijay Anna 🏆🔥🤗 #VarisuAlbum💿" (sic) This latest feat by the Varisu album will no doubt come as happy news for Thaman and Vijay's fans everywhere as the film continues to be a memorable one for everywhere.
