'Thalapathy' Vijay's Varisu is celebrating its 50th day in cinemas in India and the film's Tamil Nadu distributor 7 Screen Studio has now released a special poster on the occasion. Sharing the poster, the blockbuster production-distribution house expressed their joy and wrote on social media, "Glorious 50th day for the #MegaBlockbusterVarisu 🔥 To all the fans & families who showered us with abundant love ❤️ A memorable journey to cherish nanba 🤩". 7 Screen Studio is also producing Vijay's upcoming biggie, LEO, under Lokesh Kanagaraj's direction, and the production banner's latest statement about Varisu has no doubt kicked off yet another round of celebrations among the superstar's fans. Varisu, which collected more than 300 crores in worldwide gross continues its run in several big screens across Tamil Nadu even after its streaming premiere on February 22. Released as a grand Pongal treat in theatres on January 11, the film has turned out to be the biggest box office success for Vijay surpassing the collections of his 2019 sports action blockbuster, Bigil. Varisu directed by Vamshi Paidipally under producer Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations banner and featuring chart-buster music by S. Thaman also stars Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead, while the supporting cast also includes R. Sarathkumar, Prabhu, Prakash Raj, Shaam, Srikanth, Yogi Babu, Jayasudha, Sangeetha Krish, Samyuktha Shanmughanathan, Nandini Rai, Ganesh Venkatraman, Sriman, VTV Ganesan, Bharath Reddy, Sanjana, with SJ Suryah making a cameo appearance and plans currently underway to release the scenes shot on Khushbu Sundar and John Vijay as special features.
Vijay, who is riding hot on the heels of the phenomenal success of Varisu, is currently filming LEO in Kashmir, with filmmaker Mysskin recently wrapping his portions. Actress Trisha is also a part of the ongoing schedule, while director Gautham Menon too has been shooting for the film, with 7 Screen Studio chief Lalit Kumar and the film's co-producer Jagadish Palanisamy also present during the shooting. LEO is set to be launched in theatres on October 19 as an Ayudha pooja holiday treat after a power-packed promo teaser announcing the film's title was released last month to a spectacular response. The film also stars Bollywood superstar Sanjay Dutt, 'Action King' Arjun, Mansoor Ali Khan, Priya Anand, choreographer Sandy master, young Malayalam sensation Mathew Thomas among otheres and will feature music by Anirudh Ravichander.
