It's the talk of the town as Lyca Productions announced on Monday, August 28, that 'Thalapathy' Vijay's son Jason Sanjay's directorial debut will be under their prestigious production-distribution banner. In an official press note shared by PRO Suresh Chandra, Jason, who pursued a Film Production Diploma at the Toronto Film School (2018-2020) and followed it with a BA (Hons) in Screenwriting in London (2 Years Fast Track Course) from 2020-2022, has expressed his excitement about his filmmaking debut under the blockbuster banner, which incidentally had bankrolled his father Vijay's Kaththi (2014).

Sharing his joy over the announcement of his directorial debut, Jason Sanjay Vijay says, "It's an honor to get the opportunity to direct my first film for a prestigious production house like Lyca Productions. It has been a hub of encouraging talents and has created a stream of new filmmakers. I am glad that they liked my script, and have given me complete creative freedom to materialize it." He continued, "We are now in talks with the emerging stars of the industry and some happening technicians. I thank Subaskaran sir for this opportunity, which gives me immense excitement and huge responsibility coalescing together.
