Tamil actor Vijay has been a dominating film star in Indian cinema for years now having delivered several box office blockbusters on a consistent basis. 'Thalapathy', as he is called by fans everywhere, was seen in the money-spinner Master released earlier this year, with the action thriller now taking the top spot for being the most tweeted film of 2021, according to Twitter India. The social networking giant on Thursday released infographics for the most tweeted movies of 2021 and announced that Master has taken the number one spot, followed by Ajith Kumar's upcoming Valimai in the second place, with Vijay's next Beast in the third spot, Suriya's Jai Bhim in four and Telugu actor Pawan Kalyan's Vakeel Saab in the fifth position. 

Twitter India has also dropped another major announcement that has sent Vijay fans into a state of euphoria by revealing that the superstar's Beast is the most 'Liked and Retweeted in entertainment' in 2021. Touted to be an action-packed mass entertainer, Beast being directed by Kolamaavu Kokila and Doctor fame Nelson Dilipkumar under the prestigious Sun Pictures banner is currently in production and is gearing up for a massive 2022 release. The success of Master in the box office and on the social media space has no doubt cemented Vijay as an undisputed powerhouse superstar in the Tamil film industry and in Indian cinema overall. All sights will now be on his Beast, which is expected to come out in theatres sometime during the summer holidays next year.
