'Thalapathy' Vijay is at present in Chennai and shooting his next big film, Leo, being directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj under S S Lalit Kumar's 7 Screen Studio banner. In the midst of filming, the actor and his mother Shoba Chandrasekhar had caught up on Tuesday in the city, with a photo of them together now taking social media by storm. It is stated that Vijay celebrated the 50th wedding anniversary of his parents Shoba and veteran director S.A. Chandrasekhar, with the adorable picture capturing a memorable mother-son moment. In the photo, the actor is on the ground beside his mother, who is seen placing her hand lovingly on his shoulder while seated on a sofa chair.

Born on June 22, 1974, Vijay is the only son of Shoba and S. A. Chandrasekhar after their daughter Vidya passed away early at the age of two. The actor, who has been the leading name in Tamil cinema over the past few years, is known to be close to his mother, while being estranged from his father for sometime. This latest picture of Vijay with his mother has been getting a huge response among fans on social media, who are extending their hearty wishes to the actor's parents on their personal milestone. On the work front, Vijay's Leo marks the second occasion the actor is collaborating with director Lokesh Kanagaraj and chart-buster composer Anirudh Ravichander after their 2021 box office money-spinner, Master, and the trio are expected to come out all guns blazing with their upcoming mass action entertainer. Touted to be a gangster venture, the film also marks the big-screen reunion of Vijay and Trisha after 15 years, and fans look forward to witnessing their magical chemistry once again. Leo, which incidentally is the 67th venture for both Vijay and Trisha, also includes in its ensemble star cast Bollywood superstar Sanjay Dutt, 'Action King' Arjun, Mysskin, Gautham Menon, Priya Anand, choreographer Sandy master, Malayalam actor Mathew Thomas among others in key roles.
