'Thalapathy' Vijay's Beast took a massive opening in theatres when it hit the screens on April 13 and has once again brought in the moolah for production banner Sun Pictures. An action-comedy venture directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the film also stars youth sensation Pooja Hegde, with composer Anirudh Ravichander once again delivering a chart-buster album. That being said, fans who have been waiting for a word on the Beast OTT release date, finally have a big reason to cheer as Sun NXT and Netflix have announced that the film premiere on May 11. Beast will stream on Sun NXT and Netflix in Tamil, including Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi on the latter streaming platform. Below are the announcements: 

Beast has been widely debated among fans for its screenplay and performances, with mixed reviews coming the way of the makers since it was released. Having said that, the film has turned out to be a phenomenal box office success and is the second occasion Sun Pictures and Vijay have hit the bullseye after their 2018 money-spinner, Sarkar. Last week, the blockbuster production house released a video showing theatre owners around Tamil Nadu expressing their joy at having Beast released in their cinema halls. For a while, there were reports on social media stating that the film had not turned out to be a profitable venture, which was debunked with the Sun Pictures video. 

Vijay has maintained his box office success streak with Beast once again after his Master in 2021 revived the theatre business and the movie-watching experience on the big screen. Anirudh too played a huge role with his songs and power-packed background score and is his third victorious association with Vijay after their Kaththi and Master. Likewise, Pooja Hegde's comeback to Tamil cinema has been fruitful with Beast after her acting debut in Mysskin's Mugamoodi.
