Director Lokesh Kanagaraj has been the talk of the town ever since he was revealed to be the next to helm Vijay for the upcoming project, Thalapathy 64, after the superstar wraps up his ongoing blockbuster-in-the-making, Bigil, under director Atlee. That said, director Lokesh Kanagaraj is at present busy with the final post-production works on his Kaithi starring Karthi with the film’s music director Sam C. S. now revealing on Twitter that the background score is underway in full swing. Sam C. S. then went on to praise Lokesh Kanagaraj declaring him as a genius while also expressing his gratitude to producer SR Prabhu, cinematographer Sathya N Sooryan and editor Philomin Raj.
Being produced jointly by the Dream Warrior Pictures and Vivekananda Pictures banners, Kaithi’s story will revolvea convict being played by Karthi with the excitement and curiosity for the action gangster film going on to skyrocket after its intense and gritty teaser was released a couple of months back. Although no release date has yet been announced, we can expect Kaithi to hit screens most probably around September considering the post-production and the background score works are being carried out at an active pace now. As for Thalapathy 64, it is being planned for an April or May 2020 release and will be produced by Vijay’s relative, Xavier Britto, who earlier produced ventures namely Senthoora Pandi and Rasigan during the early 1990s while also featuring music by Anirudh Ravichander.
