A film that has fans everyone highly excited is ‘Thala’ Ajith’s upcoming Nerkonda Paarvai directed by H. Vinoth and will be coming out in theatres on August 10. With the film’s trailer released yesterday to a rousing reception, comparisons have already begun between Nerkonda Paarvai and the Hindi original, Pink, which had Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu in the lead roles. That said, director H. Vinoth in a recent interview spoke about the major differences that fans will be able to catch between Nerkonda Paarvai and Pink when the Tamil version releases.
H. Vinoth went on to state that Pink had plenty of layers and an underlying theme which the filmmaker says he had to first understand and decipher. He then added he had to make that message more relatable to the common man while also catering to what Ajith’s fans will want to witness in a film. The Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru director further says his interactions with the superstar helped him quite a lot and made him realize how his fans follow him for his personality, but not primarily for his films as there are no layers to the actor and his real life. He speaks about how Ajith had to work hard to get to be who he is today and it was his fans who have stuck with him even through some of his worst times, which gave the Sathuranga Vettai director plenty of conviction that Ajith’s fans would be with him if he makes a new attempt.
Speaking further about Nerkonda Paarvai, H. Vinoth states Ajith is going to surprise his fans big time while saying he is not in a position to reveal much about his role in the film, which will have two songs and a fight sequence as shown in the trailer. Produced by Boney Kapoor under his Bayview Projects LLP banner, the courtroom drama film has Vidya Balan, Shraddha Srinath, Arjun Chidambaram, Abirami Venkatachalam, Andrea Tariang, Adhik Ravichandran, Ashwin Rao, Rangaraj Pandey, KK Menon, Kalki Koechlin among others in important roles with music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
