Last week saw the Tamil Nadu government issue a gazette notification to all commercial establishments across the state stating they can operate for 24 hours a day and across seven days a week. Likewise, theatre establishments too have been given the authorization to screen as many shows as they want to, which only allows more opportunities for fans to catch their favorite stars’ films whenever they feel the need to watch. Soon after the order was issued, the Managing Director of Vettri Theatres in Chennai took to his Twitter page to state there are going to be sleepless night for all exhibitors who will be screening ‘Thala’ Ajith’s Nerkonda Paarvai as it will be the first worthy film after the the 24/7 screening of films goes live in the state.
Directed by H. Vinoth under Boney Kapoor’s Bayview Projects LLP banner, post-production works on Nerkonda Paarvai are being carried at a steady pace, which incidentally is an official remake of the smash hit Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu starrer, Pink. Featuring music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, the upcoming Tamil courtroom drama film includes names like Vidya Balan, Shraddha Srinath, Arjun Chidambaram, Abirami Venkatachalam, Andrea Tariang, Adhik Ravichandran, Ashwin Rao, Rangaraj Pandey, KK Menon, Kalki Koechlin among others.
One of the biggest stars in Tamil cinema, ‘Thala’ Ajith’s Nerkonda Paarvai will be hitting screens on August 10 and is as expected to take a huge opening. A highly consistent performer over his nearly three decade career, the superstar has often come back strongly despite setbacks in his career and yet again did the same earlier this year with his Viswasam, which went on to be declared a box office blockbuster.
