Madhavan, Nayanthara, and Siddharth are teaming up for a new sports-based film titled The Test, which will mark the directorial debut of blockbuster producer S. Sashikanth. Being produced by Sasikanth and Chakravarthy Ramachandra under the Y Not Studios banner, the upcoming Tamil venture revolving around cricket is reportedly being made as a pan-Indian film and will be coming out in Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam languages as well. Production on The Test is already underway and is YNOT Studios' 23rd venture after they previously distributed the Tamil version of the 2021 Hindi biopic, 83, based on the India national cricket team led by Kapil Dev, which won the 1983 Cricket World Cup.
YNOT Studios has released a motion poster for The Test, which is touted to be an intense cricket-based drama, and starts off with music and someone hitting a ball, and a thunderous roar from the crowd in a stadium echoing. The motion poster also gives us a glimpse of Madhavan, Nayanthara, and Siddharth, and it will be interesting to witness the trio in action on the big screen. Although Madhavan and Siddharth have previously shared screen space twice in Aayutha Ezhuthu (2004) and Rang De Basanti (2006), The Test will be the first time both stars will be appearing alongside Nayanthara. The Test motion poster released on the YNOT Studios Twitter page is below:
