Leading Kannada actor, Puneeth Rajkumar, passed away in unexpected circumstances on October 29 and his death came as a big shock for one and all across the country. After suffering a massive heart attack, Puneeth died on the said date and he was 46 years old. Puneeth's mortal remains was kept at Kanteerava Stadium in Bangalore and lakhs and lakhs of fans paid their final respects to the star actor. Several notable film personalities also paid homage to their dear friend. He was cremated with full state honours at Kanteerava Studio on October 31, Sunday.

Earlier today (November 5), Suriya visited the place where Puneeth was cremated to pay his final respects to his close friend. Puneeth's brother and actor Shiva Rajkumar was seen along with Suriya. After paying his respects, Suriya addressed the press and media and shared his thoughts about Puneeth. Suriya sounded highly emotional, mentioning that he is finding it difficult to come to terms with Puneeth's demise. Talking about the incident, Suriya said, "It's very unfair and this shouldn't have happened. I am still not able to accept what has happened. My family and Rajkumar sir's family are very close and are fond of each other.

Appa (Sivakumar) had a lot of memorable times with their family. I still remember what my mother told me about Puneeth. I was 4 months old inside my mom's womb while Puneeth was 7 months old inside his mother's womb. That was our first introduction. No one in my family is ready to accept this reality. He was always seen smiling and laughing in all the photos and videos. I have heard only about the wonderful things that he has done to this society and for the people he loved. I think we will hold on to our memories with him and let us keep him smiling in our hearts.

I pray for more strength to his family, daughters, and Shiva anna, all the well-wishers and fans, who gave lots and lots of love and respect to Puneeth left us. I will terribly miss him. My prayers and deepest condolences to his family".
