Ace filmmaker Selvaraghavan’s NGK starring Suriya, Sai Pallavi and Rakul Preet Singh in the lead roles released last week with a certain section of fans bewildered about few plot points in the film. With the action political drama now out in theatres, fans had at a popular theatre in Chennai left queries for the film's team among which a big doubt was regarding he relationship between Suriya and Rakul Preet’s characters. The acclaimed director went on to state that the answer lies in the scene where the two meet in her hotel room during the second half.
Ever since the film came out, fans have been decoding and breaking down several important scenes. It must be noted that NGK is a special film for Selvaraghavan considering as it is a full-blown commercial film for him and is something he had not ventured into before with a top ranking hero like Suriya.
NGK is Selvaraghavan’s first film in 6 years after the fantasy romance, Irandam Ulagam, released in 2013. Produced under the Dream Warrior Pictures banner and being presented by Reliance Entertainment, the venture has been receiving a positive response from fans everywhere with laurels being showered for the power-packed performances, screenplay treatment, direction and intense musical score by composer Yuvan Shankar Raja.
