Rajsekar Pandian, the CEO & Director of 2D Entertainment Pvt. Ltd, on Saturday, September 24, took to social media to inform fans that the official Instagram page of Suriya's Agaram Foundation has been hacked. Sharing a post on his Instagram about the incident, the Co-Producer of films like 36 Vayadhinile, 24, Kadaikutty Singam, Ponmagal Vandhal, Soorarai Pottru, Jai Bhim, and the upcoming Vanangaan wrote in his caption: "#agaramfoundation Insta account hacked pls be cautious and do not donate until recovery officially informed! Thank you!!" 

Suriya too shared Rajsekar's post on his Instagram Story, which urged social media users to remain vigilant, while also requesting them not to make any donations or send messages on the educational trust's social media platform till the issue has been sorted out. The post reads as follows: "Dear followers of Agaram Foundation. Our Instagram account has been hacked. Kindly be cautious and we advise you not to donate or message anything on Instagram till we fix this issue. Thank you for your cooperation." Suriya's Agaram Foundation has been providing assistance to financially backward students over the years and his efforts have garnered him and everyone associated with the trust immense appreciation from everyone. On the cinema front, the actor is currently working on Vanangaan, which marks his reunion with National Award-winning ace filmmaker Bala after their Nandha and Pithamagan. He will also begin shooting for the tentatively titled Suriya 42 to be directed by blockbuster director Siva under the Studio Green and UV Creations banners. Announced to release in 10 different languages, Suriya will be paired opposite Bollywood sensation Disha Patani in the film, which will also be shot in the 3D format. Likewise, the actor is also expected to soon join director Vetri Maaran for the highly-anticipated Vaadivaasal being produced by Kalaipuli S. Thanu's V Creations banner, while he is also making a cameo appearance in the Soorarai Pottru Hindi remake starring Akshay Kumar in the lead role.
