Leading Tamil actor-producer Suriya's next big film, the tentatively titled Suriya 42, was launched recently with a formal pooja under the joint production of UV Creations and Studio Green banners. Blockbuster director Siva is teaming up with the superstar for the first time and the makers dropped a big glimpse of the upcoming film on Friday, September 9, in the form of a motion poster, which is now the talk of the town. The Suriya 42 motion poster has created a huge buzz among the actor's fans as it bears a major resemblance with his 2020 film, Soorarai Pottru, and shows him being revealed after a bird is introduced in the visuals.
Let's start with the Soorarai Pottru motion poster, which shows a sparrow first while an aircraft is also seen in the backdrop taking off. The bird then takes flight and one of its feathers lands on a name card of Suriya's character Maara. The visuals of the Soorarai Pottru motion poster then progress to Suriya being revealed to the audience as the same feather passes by his face as he puts on his coolers. We then see the final and full reveal of Suriya looking uber cool and taking a leap while an airplane takes off in the background along with the announcement, "This Diwali, let dreams take flight!" Have a look at the Soorarai Pottru motion poster:
Similarly, the Suriya 42 motion poster starts off like the one for Soorarai Pottru with an eagle soaring over the high and open skies before taking a nosedive and crashing down as thunderstorms and lightning reveal warriors of different clans in the battle zone. Among the clans that are revealed are 'Arathar', 'Venkaater', 'Mandaankar', 'Mukaatar', and 'Perumaanathar', with the eagle revealed to be flying above a war-torn battlefield with countless soldiers everywhere. The Suriya 42 otion poster then shows the eagle flying in fast with the text 'Siva & Team' coming up and Suriya finally being revealed with an axe in his hand while sporting battle armor and the bird then landing on his shoulders.
Suriya 42 releasing in 3D and also coming out in 10 languages has been described to be "a mighty valiant saga". This one aspect of the Soorarai Pottru and Suriya 42 motion posters and the birds bringing Suriya to the forefront has no doubt left fans excited. Check out below the Suriya 42 motion poster:
