In addition to his only�Telugu film Antima Theerpu (1988),�Malayalam superstar Suresh Gopi is�familiar to�Telugu audiences with dubbed versions of his Malayalam�blockbusters�Commissioner (1994) and Bharath Chandran IPS (2005), Pathram (1999) and Chinthamani Kola Case (2006). Perhaps Suresh Gopi is the only actor in Malayalam, with the maximum number of films dubbed in other languages.
After a gap of 20 years, Suresh Gopi is now acting in his second straight Telugu film, being produced by Tolly 2 Holly. Though not the�main hero, Suresh Gopi�plays a crucial role in this film starring Ajay and Madhurima in the lead. The unit of the film recently met the media at�Cinemax to detail its progress. Suresh Gopi, director M.S. Murthy, Ajay, actor Nasser and Madhurima were among those present at the venue.
Ajay said this film boasts of gripping screenplay and has six to seven interesting characters, while actor Nasser termed the flick a suspense thriller. Co-producer Sudhakar Chaganti said�they plan to produce a series of films in corporate style. Mani Sharma has scored the music. Ganapati Raju Indukuri is the producer.�This film was earlier scheduled to begin in October 2008 but�was delayed due to some reasons.
Meanwhile, Suresh Gopi is currently busy with three Malayalam films: debutant pair Fazil and Jayakrishnan's Kanchipurathe Kalyanam, Unnikrishnan's I.G. and Ajmal's investigative thriller Ring Tone. Starring Navneet Kaur in the female lead, Kanchipurathe Kalyanam has started rolling from February 5 in Ottapalam and Tenkasi. Ring Tone is in post production and expected to release soon.
