Rajinikanth's new veture with director A.R. Murugadoss, Darbar is the talk of the town, despite the other stars' movie releases.We all are aware that Nayanthara will be playing the leading lady, as she recently joined the set and that the Bollywood actor Prateik Babbar will be the antagonist of the film.
And now, the recent addition to the cast is Malayalam actor Chemban Vinod Jose, as another villain. Jose debuted in Goli Soda 2, directed by Vijay Milton. Darbar also stars Yogi Babu, Nivetha Thomas, amongst the others.We'll get to witness Rajinikanth donning the police role, which we get to see nearly after 25 years.
In the first look poster, Rajinikanth's elated picture takes the centre stage. A police dog, a bunch of guns and the Gateway of India (located at Mumbai) also appear on the backdrop of the same. It also has an interesting detail that goes, "You decide whether you want me to be good, bad or worse". Santhosh Shivan will be the cinematographer of the film, the editing will be handled by Sreekar Prasad and the music will be scored by Anirud.The movie is slated to be released on Pongal, 2020. This cop drama will be thalaivar's 167th film and the shooting has begun at Mumbai.
