As fans await announcements and the release of the movie, the actor made a special appearance in a cricket match.
Superstar Rajinikanth is reportedly visiting the first India vs Australia ODI match in Mumbai. Media houses reported that the President of Mumbai Cricket Association Amol Kale had invited the actor to watch the first ODI match. The president had said it would be an honour if Superstar Rajinikanth visits the Wankhede stadium. Rajinikanth last watched the 2011 World Cup match directly from Mumbai.
Following the invitation, Superstar flew to Mumbai on Friday and was received by the MCA president. As the India and Australia match began at 1.30 PM on 17th March, pictures have surfaced on social media of Superstar Rajinikanth being welcomed by the President of MCA. Lata Rajinikanth, the wife of the popular actor was also welcomed by the President. Other pictures show the President of MCA and Rajinikanth seated comfortably and enjoying the match from a special VIP box in the stadium. India's players could get a change to meet superstar and Australian opener David Warner who has shown his admiration to Rajinikanth on his social Media might also meet Thalaivar. Rajinikanth is also known to be a fan of cricket but is seldom seen in Stadiums catching up on the match live.
