With Rajinikanth now in Mumbai to kick-start filming his portions in Lal Salaam, Lyca Productions has announced that the first look and name of his character in the film will be revealed on Monday, May 8, at 12 a.m., while also sharing a glimpse of the actor in silhouette at the Gateway of India. The 'Superstar' will be seen in an extended cameo in the film being directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth featuring music composed by Academy Award winner A. R. Rahman. The upcoming film is billed to be an intense sports drama centered around cricket and has Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in the lead roles. With a major leg of filming already wrapped in Pondicherry in April that lasted more than a month, Lal Salaam marks the first time Rajinikanth will be acting under her daughter Aishwarya's direction after he previously starred in his younger daughter Soundarya's Kochadaiiyaan in 2014.
