'Superstar' Rajinikanth's Jailer is out in theatres and is witnessing a phenomenal audience turnout everywhere. Directed by blockbuster filmmaker Nelson Dilipkumar under the prestigious Sun Pictures banner with 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander's chart-topping songs and powerful background score adding massive strength to the film, the mass action entertainer also includes an ensemble cast and actor-choreographer Jaffer Sadiq appearing in a major supporting role traveling alongside Rajinikanth throughout the course of the story.
Jaffer Sadiq, who shot to the limelight with his performance in the anthology web series Paava Kadhaigal (2020) in the Vignesh Shivan-directed segment 'Love Panna Uttranum', took to social media on Tuesday, August 22, to reveal the special gift Rajinikanth gave him from the sets of Jailer. The popular star, who also impressed everyone with his dance performance during the Jailer audio launch, took to X to share that he received the sunglasses 'Superstar' wore in the film upon his request on July 4, while adding that the picture he posted speaks volumes of his happiness.

Jailer, which has showcased Rajinikanth in a new dimension, features him alongside Jaffer for a good duration of the narrative and is yet another big role for the young actor after he appeared as one of the major highlights in Kamal Haasan's Vikram (2022) as a member of the Vetti Vagaiyara gang led by Vijay Sethupathi's character Santhanam. Having been seen alongside Tamil cinema giants Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan, Jaffer will next be appearing in 'Bollywood Baadshah' Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan releasing in theatres on September 7. On the box office front, there's no stopping Rajinikanth's Jailer as it has smashed several records, including registering the highest first-week total gross collection for a film in the history of Tamil cinema with 375.40+ crores (tentative - still updating), while also going on to become the highest-grosser in the iconic actor's career in the USA crossing $5 million in collections.
