The hit Tamil reality television singing competition show recently featured a special round on singer Mano celebrating his contributions to the music and film industry over the past 40 years. Singer Mano, who has been in the Indian film industry for over 40 years, has sung more than 35000 songs to date. He has collaborated with all reputed artistes across India among whom are leading music composers, stars, singers, and has participated in more than 3000 live stage concerts, while also serving as a judge on the Super Singer shows and encouraging many aspiring singers.
Celebrating 40 years of singer Mano's career, a special musical round was held on Super Singer Senior season 10 recently, which saw each of the contestants sing some of his most popular songs much to the audience's delight. Honoring Mano on the occasion, many geniuses from the music industry, including composer Sirpi, Malgudi Subha, Unni Menon, Kalpana and others participated in the event. Furthermore, a dear and close friend of Mano who has not taken to any big stage, veteran actor 'Vennira Aadai' Moorthy, made a rare appearance by taking part in the singer's celebrations at Super Singer Senior season 10 as the special guest dressed in white. The recent Super Singer Senior season 10 episode also saw several contestants from the ninth and tenth editions of Super Singer Junior come to put together a special sangeet event for Mano by celebrating his songs. The event was also attended by Mano's family members, including his son and wife.
