Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in silent film
Guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, who is regarded with high esteem all around the world for his teachings, has made a brief appearance in a silent Kannada film. The film is titled only by signs... and it is a silent film. The only dialogue in the film which lasts only 25 seconds is uttered by Guruji and he appears for one minute on screen. The dialogue was recorded on the spot while Guruji was shooting for the film.
The film is being produced by Ramesh and is directed by S.L.N. Swami. The shooting has been completed in 25 days. S.L.N. Swami selected some of the beautiful spots in Bangalore and Mysore for the shoot. The cast includes some important artists in Kannada cinema like the National Award winning actress Thara, Master Hirannaiah, sitting MLC Srinath, Padma Vasanthi, Usha Bhandari, Ambiga Sarangi, Rammi, Avinash (grandson of unforgettable comedy actor Narasimharaju) and Srinivasaprabhu.
