Sivakumar, Suriya & Karthi donate Rs. 10 Lakhs to FEFSI workers!

The Corona Virus Pandemic has brought about a nation-wide shutdown of almost all industries and the Cinema industry has almost come to a standstill with all shooting being suspended pending further announcement. Most of the technicians and their families are dependant on the day-to-day livelihood that they get from the shooting spots and the shutdown is heavily affecting their incomes. On this front, not many people have expressed their concern for the Cinema employees whose livelihood depends on daily shoot.

It has now come to light that veteran actor Sivakumar and his sons Suriya & Karthi, have together donated Rs. 10 Lakhs towards the welfare of those FEFSI employees who are facing a crisis due to the lockdown on the Cinema industry! Though this would not ease out the issues of all the FEFSI workers who are out of jobs and regular incomes, it would surely help in paving the way for other actors to come forward and help their fellow colleagues in need. This is a very noble gesture indeed from actor Sivakumar and his family and we hope this paves the way for more such generous acts!

Meanwhile, three districts in Tamil Nadu have been advised to go under lockdown mode and there are reports that the Government is mulling the imposition of Article 144 to place a Curfew on the unwanted movement of people in various parts of Tamil Nadu. These drastic measures are being taken to stop the rampant spread of the Corona Virus, which has already turned into a pandemic and is threatening the lives of the people, the world over!
