Sivakarthikeyan’s recently released film, Velaikkaran, is turning out to be a big success both commercially as well as critically.
Directed by Mohan Raja under RD Raja’s 24AM Studios banner with music by Anirudh Ravichander, Velaikkaran has apart from Sivakarthikeyan, 'Lady Superstar' Nayanthara as the heroine, Fahadh Faasil as the antagonist along with Prakash Raj, Sneha, Vijay Vasanth, RJ Balaji, Robo Shankar among others in important supporting roles.
Recently, Sivakarthikeyan stated his outlook has changed towards various aspects of the film industry after the suicide of producer of Ashok Kumar. He said the incident left him deeply hurt after which he checked on his producers regarding the budget of his films.
n the topic of salary for his films, Siva said he only collects a minimum payment as an advance and collects the remainder upon the completion of the project. In case the film’s budget sees a rise, he added he would go forward in lowering his salary.
The actor also said he had been dodging opportunities to endorse brands including an offer to be part of an advertisement campaign for a major soft drink. However, he has now decided he will never support the promotion of any such product as he will not be able to keep an eye on their authenticity and doesn't want to steer fans on the wrong path.
