Sivakarthikeyan is all set for the release of his next movie, Prince which is scheduled to hit the screens on October 21, Friday. This will be Sivakarthikeyan's first ever Diwali release and the actor will be looking forward to delivering a blockbuster with this one. With the film's release around the corner, the editor-in-chief of Galatta Plus, Baradwaj Rangan interviewed Sivakarthikeyan and discussed in detail about the star actor's journey as an actor. During the interaction, when SK was asked if he will be open to doing serious films, the Doctor actor said, "I obviously want to do all kinds of films. But, I myself would not be okay with heavily violent films, but it depends on the director.

It is not that I don't like violent films, it is just that I would not be identifying me in that zone, but if the filmmaker is confident of fitting me into that space, I might. I want to do films in all genres. One thing I have to have a check on, is the business angle. There is theatrical rights, television rights, and if those aspects wouldn't be affected, I am open to doing experimental and serious films. I can definitely do a film like Ratsasan. I guess you will understand what I mean to say.

Despite not having a song or a fight, I see a commercial element in that film and I can do serious movies if it can engage and keep the audiences invested. I can't do films that are really scary. Over a period, I should try all genre of films and only then I would be able to explore myself and would know what I can do. I am taking tiny steps in expanding myself as an actor". Well, this is indeed an interesting aspect to know and it looks like we are going to see multiple dimensions of Sivakarthikeyan in the coming years.
