Ananda Krishnan is a director who made his mark with the film Kodiyil Oruvan which has popular actor and music composer Vijay Antony in the leading role. His next project as a Story, Screenplay and dialogue writer is titled ‘Robber’. The cast and crew of the film recently met actor Sivakarthikeyan and launched the first look of the film.
The first look poster of the film shows the hand of a person snatching a gold chain and is set in an urban background. The poster of the film that has Satya in the leading role reflects its title ‘Robber’. It is said the film revolves around a character who is a youngster who travelled from a village to Chennai in search of work and how his desires affect his morals as he turns to thieving. The producer of the film Kavita had reportedly stated that it would be a realistic film based on a true story.
Sathya is to play the leading role in ‘Robber’ that will also feature Dani Pope, Deepa Shankar, Jayaprakash, Sendrayan, Nishanth, and ‘Raja Rani’ Pandiyan in important character roles. Sathya had previously starred in the film ‘Metro’ which was directed by Ananda Krishnan of ‘Kodiyil Oruvan’ Fame. Ananda Krishnan has written dialogues, script and story of the film that is set in Chennai.
The film will have music composed by Johan Shevanesh who has previously worked in Uru and White Rose. It will also feature cinematography by NS Uthaya Kumar. ‘Robber’ would be co-produced by journalist Kavitha S under the banner Impress Films and Ananda Krishnan's Metro Productions. The film is currently in the post-production stage and is expected to hit the theatres by the end of May as a summer treat to fans. As popular actor Sivakarthikeyan released the first look of ‘Robber’, It has created a huge excitement among fans and movie buffs.
