A film that has been carrying a lot of excitement ever since it kicked off, Sivakarthikeyan’s Namma Veettu Pillai being planned for a theatrical release on September 27, marks the third occasion the star has teamed up with director Pandiraj after their previous hits, Marina and Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga. Sun Pictures have produced the upcoming rural family entertainer and are looking to emulate the blockbuster success of their previous ventures namely Enthiran, Sarkar and Petta. With promotions for the film already being carried out quite extensively for a while, actor turned politician, Udhayanidhi Stalin, who is currently serving as the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) Youth Wing Secretary, has now announced that his Red Giant Movies production banner has bagged the Tamil Nadu theatrical distribution rights of Namma Veettu Pillai.
Expectations for Namma Veettu Pillai shot up after the film’s audio launch a few days back. There are plenty of big names in the cast in the film among whom are actress Aishwarya Rajesh, who plays Sivakarthikeyan’s sister, followed by Anu Emmanuel as the lead heroine. Furthermore, the ensemble cast of the film also has veteran director Bharathiraja, Samuthirakani, cinematographer turned actor Natarajan Subramaniam, RK Suresh, comedians Yogi Babu and Soori, director Pandiraj’s son Anbukarasu and Bigg Boss 3 fame Meera Mitun making a cameo appearance.
