Maaveeran is the next big film of actor Sivakarthikeyan that is to release in theatres on July 14. The film, directed by Mandela fame Madonne Ashwin, has created huge excitement among fans and movie buffs. Now, the movie team has revealed an announcement about the release of the film. Ahimsa Entertainment, a distribution house which has released many hit films, has shared that they have bagged the overseas distribution rights in association with Hasini Entertainment. The distributors have shared the announcement with the caption “Save the date - Set to be SK’s biggest worldwide release from July 14."

Ahimsa Entertainment has also revealed an exciting video that shows a comic strip flying through famous landmarks all around the world, including Dubai, Malaysia, Australia, UK and USA. The announcement is then revealed that Ahimsa Entertainment and Hasini Entertainment has bagged the overall overseas rights of Maaveeran. The production house bankrolling the film recently announced that a pre-release event of the film is set to take place on a grand scale in Sai Ram Engineering College on June 2. The event will surely have the star cast of the film in attendance and fans are looking forward to the event this Sunday.
From the glimpse videos of Maaveeran, it is decoded that Sivakarthikeyan is playing the role of a cartoonist working in a regional newspaper and it is said that the film will also have fantasy elements. It also has Aditi Shankar playing the female lead with director Mysskin playing the antagonist while veteran actress Saritha, popular actor Yogi Babu and Tollywood star Sunil in character roles. The Madonne Ashwin directorial film will also have music composed by Bharath Sankar. Two songs from the film have already been released and have become hit numbers. As the film is set to release in two weeks, more announcements and updates, including the trailer, are expected to drop soon.
