Silambarasan TR has started working on his next film, Nadhigalilae Neeradum Suriyan in full swing and an exciting update regarding the film has now been revealed. According to the latest buzz in the industry, the test shoot for Nadhigalilae Neeradum Suriyan took place this morning (July 21) in Chennai with STR. This update was shared by producer Suresh Kamatchi who has bankrolled Simbu's Maanaadu. Taking to his official Twitter page, producer Suresh Kamatchi wrote, "இனி, தம்பி @SilambarasanTR_ அவர்களுக்கு ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் புதிய நாளே! இன்று #நதிகளிலேநீராடும்சூரியன் போட்டோ ஷூட்டுடன் ஆரம்பமாகிறது. வாழ்த்துகள் அண்ணன் @IshariKGanesh @menongautham சார்".

Suresh Kamatchi's tweet is loosely translated as, "Going forward, every day is going to be a new day for Silambarasan TR. Nadhigalilae Neeradum Suriyan begins today with a photoshoot. Congrats brother Ishari K Ganesh and Gautham Menon sir". This update has gone viral among the fans and people have got excited about it. Nadhigalilae Neeradum Suriyan will be an action entertainer that will appeal to the fans in an interesting manner. Produced by Ishari K Ganesh under the banner of Vels Film International, the film has music composed by A.R.Rahman and the trio of STR - Gautham Menon - A.R.Rahman are collaborating for the third time after Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa and Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada.

Silambarasan TR's next release in Tamil cinema will be Maanaadu which is currently in the post production stages. Maanaadu is directed by Venkat Prabhu and has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The first single from the film, 'Meherezylaa', opened to a fairly positive response from the music lovers. Produced by Suresh Kamatchi, the film features SJ Suryah as the key antagonist and Kalyani Priyadarshan as the female lead. Y Gee Mahendra, Bharathiraja, SA Chandrasekhar, Karunakaran, Premgi Amaran, Manoj Bharathiraja, Udhayaa, Daniel Annie Pope, and others.
