Shreya Goshal has aspired to become a playback singer since her younger years. After winning in a singing reality show, she debuted as a singer in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi in the year 2002. From then, she went on to become the most established playback singer of all times.
Shreya Goshal lastly collaborated with A. R. Rahman in 2017 for the song "Neethane", in Vijay and Atlee's Theri. After that she's recorded with the Mozart of Madras, on his movie 99 songs, in which he debuts as a writer and a producer. And this lullaby song has been penned by Thamarai. A. R. 99 songs is a romantic musical film, directed by the debutante Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy, produced by Ideal Entertainment and YM Movies. Rahman, clarified in an interview that 99 songs will not have the same number of tracks. The movie will essay the journey of a struggling singer, including the problems he faces in his quest to be a successful composer. The leads of this movie are Ehan Bhat and Edilsy Vargas. 99 songs will be released in cinemas worldwide on 21st June, 2019.
