Mufti was a critically acclaimed 2017 Kannada action thriller that had Shiva Rajkumar and Sriimurali in lead roles. The film was directed by Narthan and had music scored by Ravi Basrur. This neo-noir crime thriller earned honourable awards for the actors and the technicians who worked in this film.

We now hear that director Narthan is all set to make his debut in Kollywood. If our sources are to be believed, Studio Green will bankroll this venture and it is said to be a dual hero subject. Apparently, the production house is in talks with two leading heroes in K-town to play the leads and an official word can be expected soon.

Interestingly, Studio Green owns the Tamil remake rights of Mufti as well and it is not known if this project is the remake. Mufti was also a dual leads subject that talks about the story of a police officer who tracks down an underworld don. Studio Green is bankrolling quite a few notable projects in the form of Devaraattam, Kaatteri, Thael, Mehendi Circus, and Theemai Dhaan Vellum.
