Actor Vijay’s next film, tentatively titled Thalapathy 64, under director Lokesh Kanagaraj began filming not long back with a massive star cast that includes names like ‘Makkal Selvan’ Vijay Sethupathi, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, Malavika Mohanan and Malayalam sensation Antony Varghese. That said, Lokesh Kanagaraj’s second directorial, Kaithi, which hit screens this Diwali alongside Vijay’s Bigil, has been reaping in appreciation from all corners with laurels now being showered by Shanthanu Bhagyaraj. The Thalapathy 64 actor took to his Twitter page to praise Kaithi saying he went in with high expectations and is left beyond words while also expressing his joy to be working with Lokesh Kanagaraj. Kaithi starring Karthi in the lead role has taken a stellar opening with critics commending the action thriller and audiences turning out in huge numbers in theatres everywhere. Expectations for Kaithi were already quite high from the beginning and shot up after it was revealed that Lokesh Kanagaraj would be teaming up with Vijay for their ongoing, Thalapathy 64. Being produced by Vijay’s relative, Xavier Britto under the XB Film Creators banner, the film is believed to be an intense action venture and includes Anirudh Ravichander scoring the music with plans for a summer 2020 release.
